I was born in 1965, single / never married, and I have no children.

I have been described as sweet, caring, sensitive, honest and romantic, also that I think too much. In work and in relationships, my honesty has never been questioned. A man\'s word is all he really has. Well, his word and his expertise.

I am a very down to earth guy, basically a blue-collar guy in a suit (sometimes a tux lol). I do not think I am better than anyone; I want to be decent and kind to everyone I meet. I value honor, honesty and hard work.

I am studying Philippine history and culture so I can operate honorably and not act like an idiot :)

I know I am not perfect, and get stressed out at times, usually because of work. I can take responsibility for my own life and know that my happiness is up to me. If I am stressed out or annoyed at something, it is not your fault or your job to fix it...I will think it through to get myself back on track. That being said, your happiness and success are up to you. Our happiness and success are up to us. Sound fair?

Perhaps I am too serious at times. I\'m dealing with dysthymia, which is persistent, low-grade depression that lasts for years. I put that out there because you should know that right up front. I can laugh, joke, of course...but that relaxed, happy, content feeling that you may experience on a regular basis, I generally don\'t. I don\'t ever want you to think it\'s your fault when it\'s not.

Some things you will not have to worry about: I do not gamble, drink heavily (the older I get, the less I can tolerate it lol), I am not abusive nor violent. I think that only cowards hit women and should be severely dealt with.

I do tend to work too much, try to accomplish too much, and think too much. I am getting better with being a perfectionist. I am a typical Virgo, a Myers-Briggs INTJ and a classic introvert in that I value smaller, meaningful conversations instead of who got voted off Dancing with the Stars last night. I am improving getting in touch with how I feel, having finally had a good lesson that feelings, while they may be surprising and occasionally uncomfortable, will not kill you. For the longest time I thought they would.

In a relationship I am faithful, have no problems with being affectionate, and am quite a gentleman. Do not, however, mistake my kindness for weakness. Testing my love / commitment / friendship for the sake of testing, drama or head games is an instant deal-breaker and relationship ender. I am not an ATM machine.

Yes, I have dated a Filipina before, and I have been to the PI twice. While the relationship (3 years) didn\'t work out, I learned a lot about myself, relationships, and what I would do differently next time.

What am I looking for in a partner? Basic criteria include a bachelor\'s degree, stable work history, and no children. Age compatibility is also necessary; in the PI I have seen a few older guys with reeeeally younger women and it looks kinda creepy. If you\'re 20 and I\'m closing in on 50, what are we really going to talk about? What frame of reference do we really have in common? Hello Kitty? I work in a large hotel, which is why it says my occupation is hospitality / travel...I have worked in the security field for the last 30 years, 19 years in the hospitality field.
