Our First Meeting - Dale and Analyn

Now if someone had told me last year that I would find my soulmate I would not have believed them, but the truth is I have. Last year in the spring I had decided to join couple of penpal website and I am glad I did. I have met some real nice people. I saw this one profile with the most beautiful smile and not just any smile but her smile also show in her eyes. So I decided to send her a message and see if she would like to chat. The next day I receive a replied and it was her chat id. We started chatting and exchange ideals, culture and share good and bad moments together. We had started IM about 1-2 hours a day 5 days a week. As we continue to IM, I wanted to know more about her, her culture, her family, her likes and dislikes. Then something wonderful happen we both fell in love. Our IM became 3-4 hours in the evening and 1-2 hour in the morning 6 days a week and 2 hours webcam when she on her day off. Now you are wondering about the last sentence, let me explain she work on the Resort Island, so she is on the resort island 6 days and 5 nights a week. The internet connection is sometime not the greatest but we do manage to IM each other or text message each on a daily basis. When she is on her day off she goes to the internet cafe and we webcam for 1-3 hours. This past fall I started planning my trip to Puerto Princesa to meet her in person. Well my plans for the fall trip did not come though like I hope. Due to I am the only Computer System Specialist that supports this one computer platform. But she understood and we started planning my trip to be there just after Christmas. The company I work for close during the Christmas and New Year Holiday so I was able to take off the following week as well. I left here, Raleigh, NC, December 27, 2008 arrive in Manila December 28, 2008, around 11:00pm. My flight to Puerto Princesa was at 8:00am December 29. The first person I meet in her family was her cousin Roy. We stay up the whole night talking about everything and anything. I really enjoy his company too. He works for a Call Center in Manila and they mirror the same hours that the USA site has. Next thing I knew it was time for me to make my connection flight to Puerto Princesa. Arrive on Puerto Princesa around 9:30 am. There she was waiting for me. I will never forget the look in her beautiful eyes, we just click. It like we knew each other our whole lives. We kiss right there quickly and I had my arms around her and they never left her. Even now I can still feel her. Now my suitcase did not make it with me that day in Puerto Princesa. That day however we decide to take it easy. The next day my suitecase did show up. Thank goodness I have been in the same clothes for about 3 days. Change of fresh clothes and nice warm shower always makes me feel good. We went to visit her sister and the nieces. I had a real nice time there too. I have to say the city theme fits it very well, the city in the forest. There is no other way to describe it. It is beautiful. We stay at the De Loro Inn and Restaurant. They called us the honeymooners. They would not believe we just met either. We went to the Resort where she works on a Day pass. We had wonderful time, the food was great the snorkeling was good even the weather was great. We went to the Crocodile Farm and had some fun, just walking around. For 30 peso you could have you picture take with a baby crocodile. The guy took total of 4 pictures. Then we went to Sabang to go to the Puerto Princesa Underground River National Park. The ride from Puerto Princesa to Sabang I think was about 2 hours long. But the sights were beautiful. Then came the day I dread the most had to return home. I have read and heard about this being the hardest part, well it is true. Friday we flew on different flights to Manila. Stay in a hotel over night. The day that I have dread the most was here. Its no joke, it is the hardest thing I had ever done. Time came we hug & kiss and I did not want to let her go. We both turn and walk away. I know I had tears coming down my face as I walk all the way to the gate and boarded the airplane. Later she told me she was crying the whole time in the cab going to terminal 3 to fly home. As I am writting this I am also working on her K1 Visa, Oh did I forget to tell the most important part, It is a official we are engage to wed in 2009 as soon as she and her son are over here in the USA.
